This Privacy Policy explains how FxLeakage ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use our website and calculator (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Calculator inputs — invoice amount, target amount and currency pair. These are processed in your browser and stored locally to power "Recent Calculations". They are not transmitted to our servers.
  • Email address — only if you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter or yearly leakage report.
  • Approximate location (country) — derived from your IP via a third-party geolocation API to default your currency. Not stored.
  • Usage data — standard server logs (IP, user agent, pages viewed), cookies and analytics events. See our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain and improve the Service.
  • To send newsletters and product updates you have opted into.
  • To detect abuse, debug errors and secure the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on (a) your consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, (b) legitimate interests for security, analytics and product improvement, and (c) legal obligation where required by law. See our GDPR page for rights and contact details.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data with processors who help us run the Service (hosting, analytics, email delivery, error monitoring) under written contracts. See our Data Processing page.

5. International transfers

Our processors may store data outside your country, including the United States and European Union. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Retention

Newsletter emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Local browser data persists until you clear it.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of your data. EU/UK residents see GDPR; California residents see CCPA.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, encrypted databases and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
